A Clearer Picture of Your Parents' Care

Parent Care Review & Recommendations

When you live away from an aging parent, it can be difficult to know what is really happening day to day.

You may get bits and pieces of information from your parent, a caregiver, a neighbor, a doctor, or another family member, but it can still be hard to see the whole picture.

The Parent Care Review & Recommendations is designed to give you a clearer, more complete understanding of how your parent is doing, what is working, and what may need attention. Schedule a Conversation

Who This Service Is For

This service may be a good fit if:

  • You live in another city or state, and your parent lives in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, or elsewhere in Pinellas County

  • You are worried that something has changed but are not sure how serious it is

  • Your parent has caregivers, but you are unsure how well the current arrangement is working

  • You are trying to manage several concerns at once

  • You need help deciding what deserves your attention first

You do not need to have a crisis before asking for help. Sometimes the best time to get a clearer picture is before a small problem becomes a larger one.

What Is Included

1. Family Intake

Before the home visit, you will complete an in-depth survey about your parent’s current situation as you understand it, your concerns, what has changed, what is already in place, and what you most want help understanding.

I will review that information before the visit, so I have the background I need before I walk through the door.

2. Two-Hour In-Home Visit

I will spend approximately two hours with your parent in their home. During that time, I look at the practical details of daily life, including:

  • Safety in the home

  • Mobility and fall concerns

  • Meals and nutrition

  • Medication routines

  • Caregiver support

  • Personal care needs

  • Memory and communication

  • Household management

  • Social connection and quality of life

The goal is not to judge your parent or the people helping them. It is to understand how things are actually working.

3. Parent Care Findings & Recommendations Report

After the visit, I prepare a written report that brings together what I learned from you, what I observed in the home, and the areas that may need attention. The report helps you separate:

  • What is working well

  • What should be watched

  • What may need attention soon

  • What may need more immediate action

It also includes practical recommendations and possible next steps.

4. Follow-Up Conversation

After you receive your report, we will meet to go through the findings together. You can ask questions, talk through the recommendations, and decide what makes sense for your family. My role is to help you understand the situation and your options. You remain in control of the decisions.

Price

Parent Care Review & Recommendations: $795

The $795 price includes the family intake, approximately two-hour in-home visit, written Parent Care Findings & Recommendations Report, and follow-up conversation.

What This Service Is Not

Your Elder Ally is not a home health agency, medical provider, legal service, or emergency service.

I do not provide hands-on personal care or replace your parent’s physicians, therapists, attorneys, or other licensed professionals.

When a concern falls outside my role, I can help identify the type of professional or resource you may want to contact.

What You May Gain From a Parent Care Review

Families often come into this process feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. The goal is for you to come away with:

  • A clearer picture of your parent’s current situation

  • A better sense of what deserves your attention

  • Practical next steps

  • Fewer unanswered questions

  • More confidence in the decisions you are making

Sometimes the recommendations involve meaningful changes. Sometimes they involve a few small adjustments. And sometimes the most valuable outcome is knowing that more is going right than you feared.

How to Get Started

The first step is a simple introductory conversation.

Tell me what is happening with your parent, what you are concerned about, and what you are trying to figure out. Then we can decide whether a Parent Care Review is the right next step.
